Conference Awards – 2024

APPLICATIONS ARE NOW OPEN FOR THE 2024 PHPCI AWARDS AND WILL CLOSE ON 15th SEPTEMBER 2024.

The PHPCI Awards recognise work from PHPCI members* from around the world who have recently made, or are currently making, an outstanding contribution to the field of public health palliative care.

How to Apply:
• Candidates can apply themselves or be nominated by a supervisor, mentor, or similar.
• Candidates/nominees should complete the form linked below for each relevant award.

Selection process:
On receipt of a completed submission, a sub-group of the PHPCI committee will consider applications for all three categories. One applicant from each category will be selected as the prize winner and presented with the award at the 8th PHPCI Conference in Bern, Switzerland on 22-25 October, 2024.

Selected winners for each category will receive:
1) A free ticket to the PHPCI conference in 2026
2) An illustrated certificate specific to the winning idea.

Early Career Researcher Award

Appropriate candidates should hold a higher degree, PhD or equivalent obtained in the past 3 years (excluding maternity/parental leave, or certified long-term sick leave) and be in the early stages of their research career.

Research Impact Award

Appropriate candidates should hold a qualification in any discipline and be involved in research that has had a demonstrable impact on the field, policy, practice, or society.

Community Building Award

This award is designed to recognize civic organisations (schools, workplaces, local governments, neighbourhoods, museums or sports clubs, etc) that provide palliative and supportive care to their members in the midst of the encounters with ageing, dying, death, caregiving, and grief and loss.
